He's also said we need the bandwidth that PCIe 3.0 will bring with it. So he's saying we need half as many but we need all of them?

Huh?

Notice I didn't agree with everything said. ;) Just that doubling the bandwidth does make it possible to offer the same performance for less cost. I like that possibility.

No I am not tring . I plain out said it. He was telling all of us how BD would work . When he didn't comprehend amds info released about BD . Only a few of us had it right . So now what he is saying about PCI-e III is just wrong we all KNOW pci-e III has more bandwidth . Befor PCI-e II becomes a botlle nick the cpu?gpu will be the bottle neck .

Please I don't care to hear I don't get it . It is true some here don't get it . But I not one . For myself I will stick with IB not IBE Than haswell .

And that's cool but I don't see the relation with SB-E longevity or PCIe 3.0 being useful right now or in several months/years.

It brings bandwidth that no cards will be able to use any time soon. There's no speed increase. It's just bandwidth. And bandwidth, as you already pointed out, is only beneficial if you need it.

Wrong. Like I told you before, this has the benefit of potentially allowing true Tri-SLI/CF to a lower-end platform, and since not everything in this world is graphics, things like new RAID controllers and other high bandwidth devices can benefit from it.

So this is how it is with you . Ya spent a better part of a year hyping BD which when it comes to SLi sucks compared to SB, So are you sugjesting that a workstation server chip needs PCI-e III today because next generation is suppose to be 50% faster than present generation . Sli on SB does very well with PCI-E II X8 . There are a few sli test and reviews and thats when SB spreads its wings . Were suppose to listen to a guy thats was so wrong about BD. All we need to do is look at the sli reviews for these all powerful Gpus coming from NV and worry our present setups won't be able to handle it . Thats just nuts. Pci-e X16 will do nicely for sometime to come .

WAT. None of the gibberish you just wrote makes any sense. Learn to write properly and then get back to me, because I don't understand half of what you're saying.

Nice you were left defenseless and resorted to the gibberish defense . Your constant extemporaneous replies in threads you lack any real knowledge of is like onto metastasize in forums . As a sickness is to the body.

Defenseless of what? The only thing I could understand from the gibberish you wrote was something about BD and SLI, and from the beginning I saw the price I said it was probably gonna have much lower IPC than Sandy Bridge and be slower for most users.

Learn to write properly.

Respect and decency towards what? I can barely understand what he's trying to say; look at his grammar and spelling. If anything, it's HIM that should be infracted for failing to try to at least write properly.
