ok, so i've got it working now, and i have winXP installed.

I think a while back some guy had a list of stuff i need to do before accessing the internet


can yall also recommend a list of software that will optimize my computer's performance?

k8v SE
512 ocz pc3200
voodoo3 2000 PCI until my 6800GT comes in :laugh:
maxtor 160gb HD (this thing is surprisingly loud....but got a good review on x-bit's round up)

Yes, it is called fun video games after your 6800Gt comes in.

As long as you have the various drivers installed for your PC, you are good to go. Windows XP installs most of what you need.

Heh, I'd imagine "bottin" is Queen's English for "hotrodding my computer" or something more easily comprehensible like that....but until you verify this, I will assume "bottin" is either cheating at online games or has some homosexual connotation.

I dunno what you mean exactly, but I like to use Norton Systemworks, SiSoft Sandra, and some other crap. Am I at least in the ballpark of what you mean?

yea, i swear there was a post on this site a while back telling me how to update anti-viral, windows, etc. etc. w/o going online
i'm looking stuff that will tweak and get my PC nice and efficient.
