Boston trip 9/13 - 9/15: Suggestions?

Heading to Boston 2 Fridays from now with 2 people. Would like some suggestions on what to do, especially since TimeOut Boston is limited in showing me things available 2 weeks ahead. I'm particularly interested in food or any festivals / annual events.

Already checked out Cheap Bastard's Guide to Boston, and I'm hoping to see (parts of) the Freedom Trail, Boston Public Garden, and maybe Harvard or MIT (like the MIT Museum). Everything else would be up to my friends.
 
North End (Hanover Street)
Newbury and Boylston St for shopping. Boyslton by Prudential for bars.
Faneuil Hall/Quincy Market (Bars on Union St)
Bunker Hill Monument
