I'll be visiting Boston for the first time in December with my gf, anyone from there with good ideas what to do/see?

places i want to check out: fenway and new england aquarium...what else?

if you know of good restaurants/dessert places to go to in the city that would be awesome

we'll be staying in the heart of the financial district and will be there from Dec. 22-24

Go to Legal Seafoods and order some chowder. After you're done eating it, loudly exclaim, "That chowdah was wicked good."

The Institute of Contemporary Art is a great place to see exciting modern art. None of that Andy Warhol crap.

I've been to Boston about four times in the past year, but I can't recommend much besides beer bars.

One place that really stuck out for the food though, is The Publick House . They have an attached room called the Monk's Cell, which is a Belgian themed bar/restaurant, which is really cozy, especially the booths in the back. The menus are also the best I've seen & tried for a renowned "beer bar'. Braised wild boar, a really hearty bouliabase, a lot of beer infused dishes as well.

The Kinsale does a really tasty fried calamari, in addition to a few tasty beers. :) Technically an Irish restaurant, though the only thing Irish I saw there was a little decor & the corned beef sandwich. :p

I heard The Barking Crab was pretty good seafood place for a moderate budget. Within walking distance of the ICA. It's family friendly though. There's some Wolfgang Puck restaurant inside the ICA too, though it's more for the view then anything.

I would recommend a coat/jacket seeing that your in TX?

Theres the museum of Science. The Children's museum is near by the financial/waterfront. I would recommend MoS, as they have an IMAX theater and a bunch of stuff that would interesting. There's also the Musem of Fine Arts. Since you're only stay for 2 days MoS and the Aquarium would be good.

Are you going to use public transportation? $1.80 if you have a Plastic CharlieCard gives you Subway/Bus transfers and Charlieticket is $2.00 no transfers. I believe 1 Day unlimited ticket is $7 while the 7Day unlimited is $15:roll:

There's also the Copley Mall (expensive stores Gucci, LV, Tiffany, Coach, etc.) but they have legal seafoods there.
