What's better, MegaBus or Lucky Star? Or am I screwed either way from reading these reviews.

train? i used to take it quite regularly, if only to New London (and then ferry to long island), but it's a nice ride.

I would if I had a place to crash in Boston for the night. Amtrak leaves at 6:30am and my flight arrives 10:40 the night before.

I found a GreyHound express bus that departs at 1am and arrives at 5:20. Any experience with them?

It's a bus man. It's not a big deal, but here are some pointers.

1. Immediately give on being a "lucky" person that has no one sit by them.
2. Hope to dear god a fat ass or smelly person doesn't sit next to you.
3. Continue starring at your phone home-screen for how ever many hours the ride is.

I ride the bus daily, but that's from the 'burbs to downtown in my city. So basically, only other white-collar people on-board usually. Not so bad.

Though I will say, women are HANDS DOWN the biggest bitches in life. Every bitch will have their fucking purse in the seat next to them, even if it's the last seat on the bus and someone is coming onboard. They really want you to have to ask that question "Hey bitch, would you mind not thinking of only yourself for a second and move that shit?"

I got thrown in jail from being on a greyhound bus. Don't ever drink with a native couple and tequila.

Why are you flying to Boston if that is not your destination?

All the buses will get you there. None will be comfy enough to sleep through the night.

Was gonna crash with a friend but his work held him in NYC for an extra week. So instead of getting a hotel by myself I'm just gonna take a bus over there and do NYC instead.

I'd do BoltBus or MegaBus, or take the train. I wouldn't take a Chinatown bus.

I wouldn't bother extensively reading bus reviews. Who's going to take time to review their uneventful $10 ride to NYC from Boston on the Bolt Bus?

I did GH express from NYC to DC and it was nice enough but the AC plugs were broken on half the bus. Fairly normal people. Almost as fast as air, end to end - tickets only $9ea.

How is this any different from taking the plane or a train?

Just sleep in the train station. Everyone does it.

Don't know about you guys, but instead of this MegaBus/BoltBus shit.... I would definitely recommend BangBus.

Just took the Megabus from Boston to NYC. $26 and had a reserved seat on the top floor. Took a little more than four hours to get to Penn Station. The wifi was slow but besides that, beats the cost of the train.

If you book at the right times, you can usually get coach NE Regional seats from Boston to NYC for $50-$60 one-way. If money isn't too much of a concern, the train seats and comfort level, even in coach, are far superior to the Megabus or BoltBus.

I'd cut loose the purse-strings & fork over the extra cost of Greyhound/Peter Pan. No personal experience with Lucky Star but Megabus really sucks.

Megabus and Boltbus are newer & cleaner and more organized than Lucky.

Advice, if you are riding the Megabus double decker, try not sit on the first row in the upper level.

Got a Greyhound leaving Boston at 1am for $30. Cheaper than Lucky and Mega somehow lol.

God it's gonna be a long day of traveling. I guess I'll catch up on my sleep.
