It's only available from Gateway.

It was cut down from $200 recently and it's a great speaker set. I have a set and I love it. You can see what the folks at 3dss forums are saying about it here.

Wow - what a GREAT deal :p I have a pair of Boston Acoustics BA 7500's with 5.1 channel surround sound and the rock. The reason gateway is allowing people outside of Gateway customers to buy these is because they are placing them with the new BA 7900s. The news ones are 5.1 channel surround sound, and are rated at 320 watts. Also, they changed the subwoofer orientation, and added a rather large heatsink to the back of the woofer.

Def. a good buy :D

The 7900's sats are all single-driver.

(The 7800's have midbass / tweeter setup for the fronts and single-driver for the rears). The speaker configuration is pretty lame, though, as, instead of easily upgradable and resizable speaker cable, the cables are attached permanently to the speakers and have an RCA plug on the other side..

same here:)
Yep, I love my 4800's. But if I were to replace them, it would be with the BA7800's. ;)

I thought I saw a 10% coupon somewhere but it seems to be instore gateway's only. I don't suppose they sell these speakers at their B&M so we can use the coupon? It'll make the deal even better.

Herres a bump for ya.

Is a bump for this really needed? ;)
And lastly, I think your sign is a fine example of "too much information". Would you mind if I use it? ;) LOL

Is there any way I could modify these to work with my newly purchased KLH $79.00 Reciever?

haha... I have the BA7800... it was hard replacing the 4800s but I did and I'm happy. The sub is much better than on the 4800. The BA7500s BTW aren't a good representation of Boston speakers. Those seemed to suck, from what I read. And yeah, the only thing I don't like is the cables are permanently attached.

You can see it right here, but if you click on the link, you get a dead page or if you try to add it to your cart, you get nothing.

Seriously?
Anyone else have an opinion on this? I've listened to what my father claimed was a "cheapy" pair of BA speakers on his computer and I thought they sounded excellent for the cheap set that came with his computer. So, I wouldn't doubt it their sound is as good as the z560's or klipsch 4.1's. So, I ask again, do they really?

I have had a set of BA 4800's for two years now and they are excellent speakers. Sound quality is at on par with Klipsch 4.1's in my opinion and I know some who think it is superior.

Yes, the page is dead. Gateway permanently dicontinued them today, and replaced them with the BA7900 5.1 setup.

Well, it was a good deal while it lasted.
