Boss wants me to work swing, the only time I get with my Girlfriend...

One month before school starts back up, and she wants me to work 4pm-midnight because they're training replacements for when we go back to school.

That time is the only free time my GF has from her job, I see no motivation for me to accept this schedule and screw over my only free time.

Can anyone think of alternatives? If she says that's the only hours I can work, I'm going to look pretty stupid without any other suggestions. I've been busting my ass all summer to keep us ahead of deadlines, I've already cut into the weekends, seriously this is stupid. I don't need to worry about money really. Though, it'd be nice (of course).

HAHAHA I thought the same thing. I was like :Q :Q :Q :confused:

Anyway, Keego, take it or leave it. At least you get some time with your g/f. Try being able to see her for 2 days a month for a year (1200 mi. from my g/f). Now THAT sucks.

if you're training new recruits just go to your boss and explain how you've already put in x hours overtime that season with weekends having been compromised. Make the argument that it might be better to put someone with less experience on that shift cuz work hours end traditionally @ 5 so it'll make a less stressful learning environment.
