Boss lost his user settings on his computer, what can he do?

He booted up his Win2k Pro box this morning and it said it couldn't load his profile because it may be corrupted. How can get restore it?

ouch... okay... well..
if the local one is dead, then the network one might be dead too.. is the profiles backup at all ?

I backup the profile directory 3 times a day in case of this...

Nope, not backed up. The network one is fine...we can't copy it over though.

Reload Win2k, then copy the profile off the network.

Alright I'll see what I can do. It'll take a while to put it back on..he has a P2 233 w/64MB and slot ATA/33 4200RPM drive ;(

Slowest in the workplace..slows everyone down.

Reboot. Login as an admin, as long as its not him. Copy it down over the old. You cannot copy over the old while its in use.
