Bose 301s series IV

I just got a set of 4 bose 301s from my dad, they are the 4th series. Basically my question is do all bose suck or just the small ones?

Edit: Correction apparently I only have 3 🙁 One of the right speakers is blown out or something. Sounds like trash.

Bose don't suck especially when you got them for free. It is just that they don't compete well against equally priced speakers.
 
They're ok.

As far as the broken one you could just replace the drivers to fix it. They should be pretty cheap. Just call up bose for replacement. Heck they might even repair them for free.

I might consider that, Sell 2 of them on ebay and keep the other 2.
 
I suppose I'm supposed to come in here.

The little POS speakers are the worst, these are not as bad but the thing is that they would be a bad deal for what you would pay retail. Free = go for it.

Half of the people in this thread that say they're bad probably would say just the opposite if they had a different badge on them 😀

Like I've said in the past, too many people rag on them for just that... they probably don't have anything near what they sound like and can't hear the differences themselves...

Thing is they aren't bad speakers. They sound pretty decent and have good power handling. Sure you can get a better speaker for the price, but it's stupid to rag on them for just being bose.

Maybe it's a different line I'm thinking of then. Mayb 601s if there is such a thing. They really aren't that bad. I wouldn't buy them, but free is nice.
 
Bose as a company bothers me more than certain speakers of theirs.

But its true, there is no way those are as good as equal priced speakers made in europe or the UK.
