Bosch icon vs clear advantage vs Evolution

The icons seem to be the most expensive but what is the difference?

Should I spend the extra $8 each for the icons?

Frankly, I get about the same life out of the $5.00 basic Trico blades as I do out of any of the expensive Bosch blades. Doesn't matter what I use, they only last about 6 months.

Yeah was looking at those. I like the frameless design. Of course its the same situation with Trico.. they have Neoform, Flex, & Force lol... all look the same.

I got one of those other brands of single piece wipers and they only lasted about 2 months. Back to Bosch Icons. The Evolution is cheaper which I'm guessing means cheaper materials

The only ones I ever had a problem with were the Rain-X brand. They started streaking and missing spots within a month.

I just got the Neoform last week, finally a blade that works correctly, the one piece design means no more streaking, I'm not generally a huge fan of "new and improved" but these work really, really well, no more chattering, hopping or streaks on the bottom half of the windshield. Advance had a buy one get the 2nd 1/2 price so I jumped on 'em, time will tell how well they last..

One-piece? What the hell are you talking about? I'm talking about the traditional wipers with the whippletree design. Definitely more than one piece.

Never had an issue with the Tricos so far. They last about 6 months, which is just as long as the super expensive Bosch blades.

The one-piece designs always end up skipping for me, especially on the 951. There's so much pre-curve to the blade on the one piece wipers that there a huge spot in the middle of the blade that only just barely contacts the windshield and I end up with huge un-wiped areas right in the middle of the damn blade. Traditional wipers work almost infinitely better.

My Bosch Icons are useless after a year of use. I usually change wipers when I have to do inspection.

I loved them for the first few months, but they quickly deteriorated.

The best wipers I ever had were basic Bosch brand ones at parts source. Nothing fancy and they were made in Hungary.
