We are remodeling out kitchen and as part of that we are going to be adding a single 30" electric oven under the counter. We had originally decided on a Whirlpool but it turns out the cutout requirements for it don't work so now I am overcoming my innate cheapness and looking at a couple of Bosch ovens. According to Consumer Reports it is as good as the Whirlpools we were looking for evenness of baking and it is one of the few I can find that will fit the opening of the cabinet. My only experience with Bosch is autoparts for a VW Beetles but I know they are supposed to have a decent reputation as a maker of higher end appliances. Reviews are all over the place on every single manufacturer and model of ovens I have looked at so just curious if anyone here as any experiences good or bad with Bosch appliances.

Had a Bosch convection oven/stove for a few months before I moved. Was a really nice appliance. No complaints at all.

I looked into them years ago. They seem to be hit or miss. lots of features and looks good but when a problem happens on some the parts are harder to find and more costly.

been a couple years since I looked but that is what I found when I was gutting/building my place.

I've had one for 4 years. No complaints at all.

I also have a Bosch microwave, which is the worst microwave I think I've ever had.

We picked up a higher end Bosch dishwasher last year after doing a lot of research as well. Been fine thus far, longish warranty, and I did some preliminary hunting for parts on the internet - it uses the same parts throughout the series, so decent availability.

However, it is like you mentioned - reviews all over, even within brands, there are 8 billion model variations depending on specs and color and where it's getting sold...

In the end I was pretty confident, though a little nervous because if it didn't work the wife would've been glaring. 😀 Just keep going until you find the one that fits, has all the features, *most* of the reviews are positive, and you feel confident.

There were some brands/models I dismissed because it wasn't fluke breakdowns like a pump, or the Newegg-style negative ones like, "I didn't read the manual" "I refuse to use rinse aid or enough soap", but instead it was "rack starts to rust at crappy joints" and that was across many models.

Wife came around after we got it installed and running - insanely quiet, 3rd rack is awesome (put the utensils up there), cleans well.
