  • Batman: Arkham Asylum
  • Just Cause
  • Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising
  • King's Bounty: Gold Edition
  • Torchlight
  • Mirror's Edge
  • THQ Complete Pack
  • Counter-Strike: Source
  • Heroes of Might and Magic 5: Complete
  • Unreal Tournament 2004
  • Unreal Tournament 3
  • Company of Heroes Gold
  • Left 4 Dead
  • Dawn of War: Soulstorm
  • The Orange Box Retail
  • Half-Life 2: Episode 1

Metro 2033 was fun...but you look like you want MP action - BFBC2 as eggrolls suggested.

F.E.A.R. 2 is just plain fun and WEIRD, way different from your typical shooters (also impressive graphically) and the online game play is 2nd to none. BFBC2 is fun as well.

Metro was ok, though not worth a purchase. Mass Effect and Mass Effect two are must haves. Just Cause 2 and Aliens vs. Predator.

I can tell you need to get in on the Steam holiday sale this year so you can be like me and have 50+ games you haven't even installed four months later.

Oh, and BFBC2. It's fun.

Lulz haha. I see what you did there...

You tried to make steam look bad by laughing at it. How's the pirating going? Good I assume?

Actually, LOL Steam about sums it up.

Right now i'm launching L4D2, as it's the only way to DL the new update.

But because Steam is a massive POS, i cannot effing launch Borderlands in the mean time.

FU Steam. FU very much.

Schadenfreude, i'm concerned that you don't have the greatest game of all time installed, Unreal Tournament 2004 :\
That should be remedied.

And i'd suggest Borderlands. ^_^

Nice straw man.
You tried to make everyone who dislikes Steam into a pirate.
How's the being an idiot going? Good I assume?

LoL Stop guys.

Take your pick man. Mass effect series is great. Fallout 3 is great. Borderlands is good (especially if you have some buds to play with). S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is a great dark immersive shooter (Rpg elements).

You have alot of catching up to do!

Also +1 on the steam holiday sale...still working on those.

Go outside? One needs to balance people time and game time. Normally when I get bored its not because I dont have games to play its because Ive been gaming to much.

I can recommend some stuff :sneaky:

  • F.E.A.R.2: is great, although it's less "horror", but more gore than F.E.A.R.1
  • Dead Space: Great game, scenery and story awesome, if you like Event Horizon (Movie), you will love that game
  • Prototype: Fun an bloody :> but becomes a bit boring after 5 hrs
  • Crysis Series: nothing to mention (great)
  • AvP 2010: I like the movies, so I like the game. But there are maany oppinions about that.
  • BioShock 1+2: In my oppinion one of the best RPG's out there. Part 2 better than 1. Just great atmosphere and gameplay.

Absolutely no games which claim 15 hrs, but 8h campaing and maybe some MP fun.
I like these ones.

Or maybe some outside activity ():)

I've heard such great things about Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2. I really need to pick those up.

Also OP, did you finish Mirror's Edge? I've been struggling to get through the repetitive (to me) gameplay.

I don't see the point of Steam. You don't get the box, printed manual, or physical media.

Thats the point you dont have to worry about finding the dvd, finding the manual to get the serial key or worry about breaking/scratching your dvd. Plus steam sales have been pretty juicy...

I am at the point where I would rather have it on steam or impulse or d2d just because its easier. You can call me lazy but it sure is one hell of a drug.....

I would parrot Mass effect and mass effect 2, get those.

Steam is much more convenient, auto updates and no dvd checks are my favorites.

Some of the recommendations here are perhaps trying to backstab you.

FEAR2 was terrible, even when it came out. Prototype - especially on the PC - was one of the worst games I have ever played.

I will second the vote for ME1 because of the story.

Here is my list

BFBC2
CODMW2
Dirt2
Dragonage:O (awakenings is sitting on my desk waiting for me to finish the game)
King Arthur
L4D2
ME1
Project Snowblind
WH40k

WH40k Chaos Rising

Batman AA*
Battlestations Midway
Battlestations Pacific
Borderlands*
COD4*
COH*
COH Opposing Fronts*
Conflict Denied Ops
CSS*
Crysis Warhead*
Crysis*
Day of Defeat Source*
Deus Ex GOTY*
Deus Ex Invisible War*
Floras Fruit Farm
HL2 + DM + EP 1 + EP 2 + LC*
Hitman 2*
Hitman Blood Money*
Hitman Codename 47*
Infernal
Just Cause
Kane and Lynch: Dead Men
L4D*
Mini Ninjas
Penumbra Black Plague*
Penumbra Requiem
Portal*
Rogue Trooper
Saints Row 2
Sam and Max 101 to 106*
Shatter Horizon
Shellshock 2
TF2*
Thief Deadly Shadows*
Tomb Raider Legends
Torchlight*

* = not installed but played.

lol n7 I hate that as well but I found a way around it I think. All I need now is a way to have two steam games open at once. I really wish there was a way to do that.

To answer your thread title: you like games that are heavily marketed? ;)

Bad Company 2 and the Mass Effect games are great fun.
