It's Arrested Development all over again. Hopefully it'll come back from the dead years later in the same fashion.

Probably because Jason Schwartzman takes himself waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too seriously and it's almost unbearable to endure. And this is coming from a huge wes anderson fanboy.

How do you draw that conclusion based on a show?

He's playing a character. I don't see where him taking himself too seriously could come into play here. It's a show, not an 80's buttrock band.

really? I could see why they would cancel hung and how to make it in america, but I thought bored to death was doing well. I didn't watch it, but once in a while when I would catch a few minutes, it was always funny.

really? I could see why they would cancel hung and how to make it in america, but I thought bored to death was doing well. I didn't watch it, but once in a while when I would catch a few minutes, it was always funny.

It was doing pretty well as far as the number of viewers, and the critical reception of it was better each season it was on... which is why this is so frustrating.

Probably like a lot of other good shows that get cancelled. Broadcasting networks make money on advertising which is directly related to the number of viewers each episode. Given the average intelligence of TV viewers do you think anything really good will survive.

The show grew on me. Ted Danson was hilarious, and really well used. Bored to Death was offbeat, smart and funny, but it was offbeat enough that I can see why those who didn't like it felt that way. I grew to like it so well, I could even tolerate Zach Galifianakis.

In short, it was a better, more original sitcom than all but the very top tier -- which offhand for me would include Community, Parks and Rec, and Modern Family.

Yeah I liked Ted Danson's character in a lot of the episodes lol, it wasn't the best show but it was fun to watch. Sucks its gone! Hung was a sad excuse of a show, don't know how it made it 3 seasons.

Never watched it. Looked interesting, but Zach has really lost a lot of his appeal, and Schwartzman and Danson have always been too iffy for me.

Better Off Ted was not better, and I think Arrested Development is overrated as hell (its a good show, but JHumeC it gets worshipped more than Tebow), and I also liked Better Off Ted.

I agree. Firefly, the first few seasons of Futurama, The Wire... those shows really suck compared to American Idol, Jersey Shore and Two and a Half Men. Popularity is the only way I know Justin Bieber is a better singer than Luciano Pavarotti.

Not really. You could argue that I have my facts wrong, but what ratings are based on isn't a matter of opinion. There's a clear bias toward shows that are well-advertised and easy for our 5-minute attention span population to grasp immediately.
