Bored of BF 2 , need a new online shooter

Got COD4 on my ps3 , so that's out.

I actually miss medal of honour assault online, played BF 2 for 600 hours since July 2006, bored.

What else is there ?

I haven't touched BF2 since buying BF2142. Love 2142!!! It all I've been playing for a long time.

it uses the same engine does it not as BF2 ?

I would say Quake Wars, but it's not for everyone. The tic rate is locked at 30 and the animations give some people headaches (because they're only 30fps). There is a multiplayer demo; demo

Also remember to check if there are any mods for games you already have. BF2 probably has a few.

What kind of shooter do you like? Class based? Vehicles? I guess most games are like BF1942 these days, but Team Fortress 2 is still a good no-vehicles game.

I like when a game has feel an atmosphere, I was a massive fan of medal of honour allied assault all them years ago, amazing online, same there were no stats kept !

2142 is a lot of fun. I played it, went to Quake wars, went back to 2142, switched to COD4, then now back to 2142. Ive always enjoyed the battelfield series, so Im always drawn to them the most. Id love to get back into Battlefield Vietnam, but for some reason I cant get either of my 2 copies to load on either computer.
