The way it sounds from interviews, Joe Q. Public doesn't give a rats ass anymore about what Mr. Gore wants, they want this election run like all the others have been and it sounds like they're just tired of it and think Gore should get out of the way! Just my opinion, but that's what the interviews I saw looked like! His numbers are really declining quickly also as far as support goes by the public so I'd say the people do want him to "disappear" as one woman said. Society is to fast Al, there's no time for what you want to do!

Isn't it sickening when a politician, in his quest for power, can make the U.S. look as ridiculous as he has! We'd probably be better off if we fired the whole lot of them and just went down the street and picked Joe the plumber, Fred the cop and just regular joes. Hell, they couldn't do any worse than the maroons in office now!

It's obvious that both sides have rallied forces to Florida. Never said otherwise. The only difference is that the Republicans did it and that just won't do now, will it? Only Democrats are allowed to yell and scream and cry, right?

Also, I can't believe that bias of the piece you linked. It read like something from the New Republic, not a *ahem* legitimate news source like CNN.:disgust:

Here's some examples of what passes for "unbiased" news reporting:

"When Geller walked out of the room with a sample ballot, the crowd accused him of stealing a real one and responded as if he had just nabbed a baby for its organs."

"The organizers in the RV outside, who G.O.P. protesters have told TIME were led by hardball Washington strategist Roger Stone, had phone banks churning out calls to Miami Republicans, urging them to storm downtown"

Screaming yellow journalism at it's finest. Lots of adjectives, nt much facts.

Speaking of facts, try this snip from this article, The Myth of Miami:

"The myth of Miami is now being extended by Democrats into other areas of controversy. Six Democratic congressmen have demanded that Janet Reno's Justice Department investigate whether some 100 Republican demonstrators "intimidated" the Miami-Dade board into halting its recount last Wednesday. Rep. Jerry Nadler says the demonstrators, none of whom were detained by police or touched anyone, represented "a whiff of fascism in the air." But none of the three members of Miami-Dade's election board were intimidated. One member of the board, David Leahy, says he saw only "a noisy, peaceful protest." He told the Los Angeles Times, "I was not intimidated by that protest. I saw it for what it was."

I've read your previous posts and haven't seen anything that counters this other than you telling me to not watch ABC. Should I watch CNN?

<< Gore lost.

Now he's just being a hater
>>

I agree that what Gore's doing is wrong, but can you possibly imply that Bush is a playa without laughing?

<< What an arrogant person! He came across as hey, i don't care >>

This is precisely the attitude he displayed throughout the campaign. It is also a big part of why he's suing for votes right now, instead of planning his transition.

Unfortunately I missed his television address. But, I read the transcript. He came across as a pompous ass in black and white, so I am sure it was even more obvious on live tv.

He's just getting desparate because he's facing alot of hard time with Tipper. At least as VP he could get away from that hag on occasion. Now, he isn't going to be able to get rid of her.

Public opinion since the speech has gone to the toilet for Gore......now, over 6 out of 10 people say he should concede now according to CNN exit poll. Bad news when Media starts running from ya'! Al, save yourself a little dignity, get out before you're forced out by your own party!

The Gore team's plan was to get Joe Q. Public so tired of this mess that he would say "whatever, let them count the ballots again so we can move on". While this same tactic worked during the impeachment, it would seem that it backfired this time around.

And don't forget

GW Bush comes out from hiding on his ranch to speak. He finally stoped fishing and throwing the ball to his dog and took a few questions from the press.

It has been a long time since anybody in the press actually managed to ask him a few questions.

When asked why he finally is finally making an appearance and speaking out, he started laughing and told the journalist something along the lines of "he,he,he, that's a good one."
