There's apparently some complaining that the Season Pass DLC *may* be limited to 2 new characters, a level increase, and 1 campaign.

Caveat: in my limited 15 minute attempt to fact-check this, I haven't found any official statement from Gearbox confirming that this is the case. Some people think that each individual piece is one of the four DLC's, others think that this is just a "minimum" and Gearbox may add more stuff on top of what's been announced.

This is the first Borderlands game that I may finish with only one character on normal difficulty. Just too frustrated to try other characters and TVHM. Actually as someone else said, the combat seems too easy (even for me) while they tacked on a bunch of jumping and pathfinding hurdles to lengthen the game. Probably could finish the game in 10 hours easy except for wondering around lost and trying to do stupid jumps.

I like the low graw. You can use it to move really fast, and close in on enemies fast.

What I do feel it lacks compared to BL2 is a good character gallery. The BL2 characters were just more crazy and fun. I'm at lvl 22 and still having a good time playing the Nisha. Really good potential for dealing a lot of damage in a short time.

Ok, now that I'm level 25 and have returned to the moon from Helios, the game is fun. It was pretty slow and clunky up to this point. And I hate all the jumping puzzles.

Arggg...that sounds awful. At first I thought I would wait for a sub-$30 sale before I buy now I think I will wait for a $10 sale. Oh how the mighty have fallen.

The game really picks up a lot towards the end. I'm now certain that I'll be replaying it with one of the DLC characters.

i finshed it in 2 days, more or less, including true mode. i did watch quite a few farming vids though.

the Nukem is just GG.

doing the Red&Belly farm run 2-3 times makes most of the basic game much easier due to the extra 2-3 levels you always have on the mobs.

on true mode (i cannot be arsed to write true vault hunter mode or even TVHM every time) it becomes difficult in the middle of the game, but only because the enemies don't scale correctly at certain levels. as soon as you hit lev 45+ the scaling returns to normal and you just mow them down.

i played with spammy athena which is possibly the worst build in the game, and had no problem once i figured out that 99% of the damage comes from one or two guys with lasers, ad that you can pretty much ignore anyone else, including badasses.

ofc a badass with laser is a problem, but thats what we have our cryo snipers for, innit?

Yeah, it really doesn't have the same fun as BL2--mostly due to the story and game/mission flow--but I still think it's a bit better than BL1 on release...though that's very subjective because that was such a good game.

I would honestly wait until there is more info regarding what is actually going to be available for DLC and what that means for the Season Pass, to see if it is the same value as the previous Borderlands games. This main campaign is significantly longer than vanilla BL1, but shorter than BL2. Though there is lots more running back and forth on certain maps, so it feels more tedious at times.

I've got Nisha maxed out and with dual Maggies and a crapshooter or even celestial class mod...she is just hilariously devastating when it comes to clearing rooms at level 50. The "Raid boss" is also a joke with this build.

I've got Athena into TVHM and Wilhelm and Clap ~level 10 or so each, btu I'm taking a break for now, as there really isn't enough endgame content. Not enough variety for me right now, but I still like the game. I was midway on this one at various points, but I do like it now. Some classes take some time to get rolling, others--you just may never like. I'm particularly interested if that unofficially-announced 6th class (which is some cryo-based lady) is a Siren or not. That is probably the number one thing that feels off about this BL for me: no Siren! 😡

For a game that's been out 3 weeks, some of you sound like you have over a hundred hours into it. (zinfamous)

Do you even have a social life? 🙂

on weekends! sometimes!

but really it's just a few people around town, but the majority of those are work people, and we maybe go out once per week.

All of my actual friends live in various parts of the country, so from year to year it has become easier for me to just spend my time inside.

and as I get older, I just don't gaf anymore. 😀

I don't play any single player games, just multiplayer with my friends that are scattered across the country. It's a social thing for me. We're all on voice chat cracking jokes the whole time. Oh, and we love killing each other with barrels in Borderlands.:biggrin::biggrin:

I miss my gaming days🙁

Many times I take advantage of my spare time catching up on much needed sleep. Sucks getting older with much more responsibilities and pressures in life🙁

Well, it is just my personal opinion, and I admit I am terrible at pathfinding, so partly it is just me perhaps. At 20 to 30 dollars I feel it would be a decent value. I vary between enjoying the game when I am in normal grav and hating it when in low grav, being lost, or doing jumping puzzles. I probably will try other characters eventually, but I seriously doubt I will buy any DLC this time.

no kids here so I don't have to deal with that. Also, playing games is my shameful secret. None of my real friends play them, so that leaves out the social aspect. I much prefer single player games, and even MMO and coop games like BL, I tend to treat as single player. I like playing with others from time to time, but I really can't sit down and focus on some raid for hours at a time, much less a teamup for anything that usually needs a sustained 15-30 minutes of focus.

My game play hours are often misleading, to be fair. I leave games running all the time, while I'm somewhere else on the phone, watching something else, running errands, whatever.

Looks like the combat difficulty ramps up quite a bit in the final level or two. Those of you who have finished the game, what level were you when you finished?

Feel like I am a bit underlevelled or need better weapons. I am level 25 and getting close to the final boss battle I think. Main problem is my weapons seem underpowered and the enemies just keep spamming until I run out of ammo. I did not do a lot of sidequests, maybe I should have. Also seems like I am not getting near the quality of weapons from that golden chest in Corcordia that I got in BL2.

You need to do the side quests. If you do that you get enough levels to make fights easier.

I've got 2 sidesquests left to complete and I'll be at 100% completion of my (our) normal playthrough. Excited to start TVHM and geek out all day Saturday. If anyone wants to join, we'll be a level 30 Athena & Claptrap playing starting in the AM on Saturday. My steam name is Nebor.

Just hit level 25 with Athena last night and really getting into it. Aspis is finally devastating on attack as well as great for tanking defence but now I want to experiment with her Elemental damage skill tree (the third one) as it sounds very interesting and I love elemental damage.

Started a 3 man run through with some friends the other day. It's pretty fun, I don't know if I'll like the plot as much as I liked 2, I probably won't get the same play time I got out of 1. But its a solid co-op FPS with loot and there aren't enough of those games. So I'll for sure play it through at least once, maybe twice with a difference character.

Finally beat this game. The rocket ship was super hard for me, but the bosses past that were all pretty easy. I dinged level 27 when I killed the last boss.
