I'm hoping to find either of this black friday, does anyone know if either of them are expected to be in any sale (for the PC)

Skip Borderlands altogether. With it's crappy graphics and OK gameplay, DA:O is a far better choice. FO3 would be a better buy and more fun rather than Borderlands IMHO.

Dragon Age: Origins is an awesome game. One of the best in recent memory.

Borderlands was kind of "meh" for me. The most fun I could see that game being would be in a college dorm type of environment where you could play through it with a bunch of buddies who were all right there. That would be kind of fun, but still not on the level of DA: O

Borderland's only real issue was the lack replayability. Once I hit 50 and blasted through both playthroughs, I didn't really have any desire to do it all over again with another class. Even doing coop with friends got old after awhile.

Dragon Age on the other hand has incredibly tedious combat, unless you play on the "I'm a newborn." difficulty. Everything else is really solid though and you'll definitely get a lot more hours out of it than Borderlands.

You don't have to micromanage as much if you use the right tactics. You'll still need to do group heals or very situational stuff like t4 skills, but on hard difficulty I was able to pretty much just control my main character - and finicking with your tactics to get them perfect is it's own kind of enjoyable strategy.

Borderlands was great, at one time through you are invested more hour than most other Multiplayer games out there...

I was not at all disappointed with my Borderlands purchase, best game I bought in a while...

Don't know anything about Dragon Age... I will pick it up though... once it is a reasonable price, I got Borderlands for 35 bucks on release with a 4 pack, more than worth it IMO

Go with Dragon Age: Origins, it's much better. I bought the Digital Deluxe Edition for only $30 at CDKey House (you basically buy the CD Key(s) followed by a few steps you need to do and it works amazingly well).

I've got to say Dragon Age and I own both of them and like both of them. There's no denying that there aren't many games like Dragon Age. Plus your getting more for what you paid for and you can't deny a good bargin.

That's because they are not English, and I wasn't aware of their server issue. I bought it very recently and nothing went wrong. I paid via PayPal, I got two confirmation e-mails from them within the following five minutes, the second one already included both the regular game key and the bonus content key (that's the Redeem Code on the BioWare Social Network). Then I downloaded EA's Download Manager, registered the non-bonus key there and downloaded the Digital Deluxe Edition and the extra content from there. It worked wonders and it only cost me $30. I was also able to properly register the game on BioWare's Social Network and all my characters' stats upload there correctly as well, all is fine really.

I'm playing both and enjoying borderlands more. It at least it has some uniqueness to it. As for as Dragon age goes...if you've played neverwinter nights than you've played dragon age. A good game but nothing new here.

I'd say both.

I LOVED Borderlands, just got done with the 2nd playthrough, and that game is epic through and through. I got more than my money out of it, probably about 55 hours by the time I was through the 2nd time. I don't really get people harping on no re-playability, the game has more than enough content to stand on its own even only playing through one time, I can count on one hand the number of games that came out this year that lasted as long as Borderlands on one play through.

Having said that, the ending was junk, I'm pretty stunning just how badly Gearbox jacked that up, I stood in one spot and just fired off rounds killed I killed the last boss. Disgusting ending to a game that was otherwise in my top 3 for the year.

Dragon Age is also awesome, although for completely different reasons. Dragon Age is all about the story and the character build as well as interacting with people in the world and in your group. The battles are epic, and the pause button is very much your friend, and while even on the PC the graphics aren't setting any bar for how good they look, it still looks really good for how far it can go to put multiple characters on the screen and have them interact.

At the end of the day, the one you want more depends on whether you like RPG or FPS more. Both are some of the best this year.

Dragon Age is way better, I've played both.

So you're the authority! :p

Finished up Dragon Age this weekend as a Noble Warrior. Good stuff, games have pretty much zero in common, so I think it's a poor comparison. I loved both, and will probably go back and play both of them more at some point. One of them is definitely GotY for me personally, although L4D2 is creeping up fast with that Hard Rain campaign, which I can't seem to get enough of.

Bioware did an amazing job, no surprise there. The surprise has to be that Gearbox pulled off such a sleeper hit in Borderlands, which is really their first original IP ever if you look at their history of games.
