So which of these two games have you had the most fun in?

I've clocked in 82 hours in Borderlands 2, according to Steam. Enjoying the hell out of this game. Last 58 hours have been in singleplayer using the Commando. Done most of the sidequesting up until now, and have just one or two missions of the mainquest left. Level 32.

First 24 hours was in co-op with 3 other friends. Used the Gunzerker and played up to about Level 25.

I must say this game is almost just as good in singleplayer.

Borderlands GOTY I've clocked in about 24 hours, according to Steam. Using the Soldier. I believe I'm at Level 22 (Or was it 25. Cannot remember). Played this in singleplayer. Also enjoying this game very much. I will certainly play it alot more. When this game came in 2009 I never gave it a chance. First time I gave it a real chance was right before the release of Borderlands 2. I had already bought GOTY edition on Steam a couple of months before. I must say, this is a great game. Very important to use Borderlands Config Editor to fix FOV and other things.

I don't know, but I actually think they are equally fun. Both are great games! I'm so glad I gave these games a real chance. I needed to play them many hours before I actually started to really like them. I was too hung up in games like Skyrim. I've clocked in about 235 hours in Skyrim, according to Steam, and cannot stand the thought of it any longer. It needs a huge DLC to draw me back.

The Soldier (IMO) is the most boring class in BL1. Try any of the other 3 (Lilith/Siren if you wanna feel OP) and you'll enjoy BL1 more, I think.

BL2 definitely superior. Interface aside (inventory management and menus are pretty bleh in both games) BL2 addresses most of the annoying or clunky things about BL1 and frankly just 'feels' better. Ultimately the biggest and best improvement is in story also imo; I couldn't bring myself to do a second play through of BL1 but I'm almost through the second play through of 2 already and still enjoying the hunt for Jack; you notice more little things with the more ECHOs you find and places you explore.

Improvements to the interface mean little if the game isn't any more fun at the core

punching Skagzilla to death as Brick in BL1 has yet to even come close to being dethroned by anything I've done so far in BL2

BL 1 as Lilith was great fun, it's a much better set of powers than Maya in BL 2.

BL 2 with Axton and Gaige (Mechromancer) is fun too.

I'm going with "both are equally fun", but I give BL 1 the edge since I played it first so it was a little more fresh and original.
