I have a Plextor PX-712A DVD drive. A couple weeks ago, I installed Dragon Age just fine. That DVD still works. But whenever I insert my Borderlands DVD-ROM, the drive spins up, and then stops, and sits their blinking, and my computer refuses to believe it has a DVD in the drive. Thing is, this DVD works fine in my laptop. I tried updating the firmware. Hints? The publisher doesn't admit to any know issues.

Try making a copy of the dvd on the laptop and use the burned copy instead of the stamped dvd.
