Borderlands Co-op question (1 copy)

Is it possible to install 1 copy of Borderlands on 2 PCs that I own to play co-op with my wife? Or will I need to buy a second copy for this?

Give it a try, Borderlands doesn't come with any sort of copy protection (no CD key, etc), so I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Don't people fire up multiple instances on the same pc so they can get the difficulty increase that comes with Co-op, but play solo (by leaving the other characters at the starting point)?

Wouldn't that mean you can use 1 copy?

Yes you can do that. I've ran 4 instances on my PC. It was pretty slow haha. But it can be done. There is an option for LAN play. There is no reason it wont work with that.
