I can't get to any game sites at work, but I found this on a google cache page.

NEW YORK, Aug 11, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) –

2K Games and Gearbox Software announced today that Borderlands(TM)
fans can return to Pandora’s inhospitable environment to enjoy a
brand-new destructive downloadable adventure in Claptrap’s New
Robot Revolution*.This fists-of-fury-filled fourth
add-on pack from the popular franchise will be available this September
via Xbox LIVE(R) Marketplace for the Xbox 360(R) video game and
entertainment system from Microsoft for 800 Microsoft Points and the
PlayStation(R)Network for the PlayStation(R)3 computer entertainment system
and Windows PC for $9.99.

Claptrap’s New Robot Revolution invites single-player and
co-op fans back to try to suppress a deadly Claptrap revolution using
one of four infamous vault hunters. The foursome find themselves caught
in the crosshairs of a deadly civil war between the Hyperion
Corporation’s well-armed armadas and the ever-amassing army of homicidal
Claptraps led by one of the most eagerly awaited characters in the
franchise’s history – the cunning Ninja Assassin. As vault hunters,
players must put aside their past differences with the Hyperion
Corporation, namely the organization’s repeated attempts to wipe them
from existence. For a hefty payday, they will join forces to help beat
down the mechanical uprising and thwart the dastardly kung-fu expert,
the Claptrap known only as Ninja Assassin.

“A year ago Borderlandswas an untested brand that through
hard work and a lot of passion, turned out to be one of the
best-selling, claptastic and skagtacular games we have ever created,”
said Christoph Hartmann, president of 2K. “A year later, we are
releasing our fourth DLC installment, Claptrap’s New Robot
Revolution, which illustrates our enthusiasm for creating highly
entertaining content that enhances a franchise. In addition to serving
as the perfect bookend to the original game, what gamer doesn’t love a
kung-fu-wielding Ninja Assassin Claptrap with nunchuck skills?”

Like its add-on predecessors, Claptrap’s New Robot Revolution offers
extensive co-op integration that seamlessly melds single and multiplayer
experiences, and incorporates the most explosive role-playing shooter
fun imaginable. Claptrap’s New Robot Revolution will
provide more than 20 new missions to loot and tons of fresh enemies to
blast through, including original boss battles, waves of homicidal
Claptraps, well-armed Hyperion soldiers, and local creatures that have
been Claptrap-ified – including crab-traps, rakk-traps and skag-trapps.
Fans can earn an additional 10 skill points for a total of 71 available
skill tree points, and three more backpack slots for additional
blood-yielding weapons and many hours of enjoyment.

I'm all for another DLC.

*dons nerd hat*

But wasn't Hyperion helping the vault hunters? Hyperion was the company who assisted in closing the vault, that's what I took from it anyway. Atlas Corp was the one constantly trying to kill you, both in the base game and Knoxx's Armory.

I wouldn't really call it helping as the satellite pretty much lied by omission to get you to go to the vault thinking there was treasure instead of the beast.

Just because the satellite had Hyperion markings doesn't mean that the AI for it actually reported who it got to do the dirty work. It could be more that the Hyperion "army" is fighting the traps and the player charc is an unknown so you get shot too.

On a side note I finally got my siren to lvl 61 and started in on the moxxi small arenas with her for the extra skill points. Already finished them on play1 and knocked out the gully on play2 if anyone wants to join in this weekend.

After I finish them with her I'll probably go back to my soldier to do the same. Only have the ruins left on play1 then he'll be ready to go to play2.

I haven't played any of the DLC yet, but I might go back and play some. Borderlands was pretty fun and I heard the DLC was good. This might entice me to play it again.

That's what I read and posted in a PC Gaming thread on Borderlands.

It looks like this one will not increase the level cap, but it grants 1 skill point per playthrough and 3 bag SDUs per playthrough... you can read more about it here, but be aware... there might be a spoiler image or two down the page...

Gearbox said they will be raising the level cap by 8, but it won't be part of the DLC. It will come as part of a free update. I think it's due out at the same time as the DLC.

Yeah... I'm just waiting for the point where I can get almost every skill in the game (without cheating) :p.

Heh... I'm going to be getting the new DLC, but I do wish they had expanded the skill trees. While there's a certain appeal to being completely powered up, it also makes everyone pretty homogeneous. There's no specializing in certain builds when everyone has every skill maxed out.

I have to say I'm pretty anxiously awaiting playing Borderlands again. A rebalanced game will definitely add some fun to my near or already maxed out characters. :)

I'm looking forward to this one as well. I've got a lvl 61 soldier, hunter & siren. I've also did the small moxie arenas on both playthroughs for those extra skill points.

Finally got around to getting a zerker going and got him to lvl 30 so far.

I'll definitely pick it up when it comes out.

I haven't been online much lately Hopeless, but I'll be back for this. We'll kill some Claptraps. :)

Sounds good.

If you have any around 30ish & want to team up prior to it coming out I finally got around to starting a zerker. Not sure how well he'll turn out but I'm focusing on brawler & tank trees using Skirmisher mods.

The new DLC is out. I've purchased it and queued it up on the Xbox site, but I'm not sure when I'll get around to actually turning on the Xbox. It's been a killer lately between auto repair, restaining the deck, getting the lawn ready for winter, doing research and prepping a presentation for a some possible contract work. I'm looking forward to winter when I have nothing to do but sit around inside and play games in the evening. :)

It would be nice if this DLC actually has places in it where you can start playing in a different location than the main hub area. General Knoxx was annoying as hell like that... You had to drive and fight your way through the same mobs over and over every time you decided to play because they always reset you back to T-Bone Junction. At best, it's boring because you're high level enough for it to be easy. At worst, it was a pain in the ass to have to fight fairly difficult mobs multiple times just to progress in your mission.

It would be nice to have access to the Fast Travel Network outside of the initial spawn location. Both DLC1 and DLC3 did not have this and it was kind of annoying. DLC3 was a little better since it had vehicles at least. My DLC4 is downloading now, so I'm not sure if that's available.

So... what sort of level do they expect you at when running this? My Siren is level 49 in Playthrough 2, so I'm not sure if I should just wait until I'm 61 to head into this place or just go in after
I beat the hentai monster in the vault
.

I got it last night, after d/l it (1.35G) I didn't have a whole lot of time to play. Since the patch to increase the level cap isn't out yet I deceided to start out with my level 61 siren on P1. I figure the extra skill points will be split between P1 & P2 anyway.

What little I've seen so far I'm liking it. I've gotten so use to having already read the little details for a mission & just reading the top part that tells you what you need to collect / do I forgot to read it on the first couple new missions. The current mission I'm on
has a reference to Ghostbusters which got a chuckle out of me.

So far:
Not too far from the start I found Tannis so I've been doing missions for her. The first 2 weren't bad. The third one started getting on my nerves because you have to kill quite a few claptraps for parts but for some reason where the mission shows that you need to go quit spawning the little suckers. I got a little past half way & finally had to call it a night.

Played a little bit more last night. The new hub, Tartarus Station, has tons of spots / places for hidden chests. I haven't been counting the many white ones but I've found 3 red ones so far and there are still plenty of places for more.

Cleared P1 with my siren over the weekend, overall I liked it pretty well.

Now just waiting for the patch to hit to do P2 with her than move on to the others.
