Borderlands 2 GOTY Edition - Crashes at Launch!

I just got Borderlands 2 GOTY Edition the other day and installed it on my system.

Worked fine after install so I played for a while.

Next day, I turn the rig on and then click the icon to launch the game, instead of launching, the rectangular box with the 4 characters popped up (as usual) but then I got an error saying "Application Stopped Working" with the following error:



WTF? I have no idea what that means or why this is happening. I searched high and low online for a solution but NOTHING works! I tried reinstalling DirectX, launching as administrator, in compatibility mode etc. etc. but nothing works! 😡

Every other game works great on my rig so I have no clue as to the cause of this!

PLEASE HELP!

Uninstalled and reinstalled - game works, however, the screen goes black once I get to the home screen (menu)! 😡

This is on an Asus PB287Q 4K monitor - just trying out this monitor w/ DP 1.2 cable.

Wonder if it's the monitor(?).

Ugh.. anyway, at least the game seems to work - however, the other games work fine so I'm not so sure if it's the monitor after all. :\

I could be wrong but is your pc a gaming pc case? No air flow=a dead pc.

huh? I use a Cooler Master Cosmos II with several fans.

It has plenty of airflow. The GPUs do get kind of hot (4-Way SLI on air) but other than that, nothing out of the ordinary.
