Bora Bora Advice & Stories Wanted!! Honeymoon planning!

Well it's a big possibility now that my woman and I would be getting married in the winter. We want to leave this country for our honeymoon (can be up to 14 days total). We LOVE the idea of a cruise, so if any of you have specific cruise stories (good ones, bad ones) lemme hear that, but remember we want to go to WARM PLACES!

My ideal place would be to go to Bora Bora, it's ~85 deg. F over there even in December and it's not "tourist season" so that's good. I have no idea how much all-inclusives for 2 to Bora Bora costs, but I'd say we could muster about $3k-$4k per person if TOTALLY necessary (clearly I wanna spend less) How is it?! It Bora Bora as amazing as people say?

Basically I want advice, so lemme have it!

2 weeks in Bora Bora may be a bit much. It's only 15 square miles. If you want to sit on a beach for 2 weeks there are many cheaper place, IMHO.

Beautiful place. The view from the flight in was spectacular. Most Pacific islands are either coral atolls or volcanic islands. Bora Bora happens to be both. A volcanic island surrounded by a coral atoll. I have to agree with the person who said two weeks may be a bit much though. Unless you're really into scuba, I suppose. You can do some exploring inland, maybe even drive around the island in one of those "fun cars", do some of the water related activities (i.e. snorkel, dive, swim with sharks, etc.) and lie on the beach. I guess it all depends on how quickly you get it all done and how much you can lie on the beach.

What are you guys talking about that is too long? It'll give them 7 days on the beach and 7 days doin the hanky 😉

Thanks for the tips so far...notice I said "up to 14" days. Obviously it could be less. And yes I realize that's their summer, but I mean their winter only drops about 5-10 degrees; it's always warm there.

any other advice/experiences?

Yes, their summer is very humid. That's why it's their off season.
