Anyone else think the the Jazz are making some questionable moves this off season?

WHy is it questionable ?
he's a great player.

Yeah, but they're dropping a lot of money on Boozer and Okur (sp?), two good but not great players. Would that money have not been spent better on some of the other FAs out there?

Last time I saw Utah is out West.
They need bigs.
How many bigs are available right now ?
I think they made a pretty good decision with Okur, Boozer. They need to sign Ostertag if they haven't already done so.

Exactly which other Forward/Centers are there out there???

Kenyon Martin was scheduled to be in for a workout today, but the Jazz cancelled it due to this deal with Boozer.

You said it yourself. Why not give Martin a good look first?

wow...boozer sold out on the cavs...they were going to give him a 40mil deal over 6 years instead of the team option of about $695,000.

but i guess that extra $28mil was too much to pass up.

He's a good player. Not great. 11 Million/year is a LOT.

Especially when teams r (well the teams that are filthy rich) are trying to be wiiser because of things like the luxury tax. Nobody wants a bad contract, and while Boozer is probably not going to be a bust for them, that's too much money for a 3rd year player who played on a bad team (Hey, I like him and the Cavs and LeBron, but let's be realistic. I LOVE the Warriors, and I know all the crazy things that happen now).

I think he's better than good.
He pulled of pretty nice stats playing on a subpar team.
He should be better with some help from the Jazz Bigs.

Go Carlo's!! He lived in the same appartment complex as my girlfriend while he was going to High school here. His family was very cash strapped, and drove a very sorry looking old van. Very nice people, I bought several boxes of 30'06 ammo from his dad the day before they left.

I know Carlo's is taking care of his family too, he seemed like a decent young man the few times I talked to him, and beleive me, this could'nt have happened to a nicer guy, he deserves every penny. I do kinda feel sorry for him having the last name of Boozer though, it will make it hard for him to get some indorsements for certain products I would think.

he screwed the cavs!!! made it sound like him and his wife loved cleveland and wanted to stay. so the cavs say, "fine, we won't get your option for only $700,000 next year. instead we will offer you $40+Mill for six years." he uses this leverage to become a restricted free agent and then bolts. what a loser.

<------ very bitter because I'm a cavs fan. they had a solid nucleus for next year with rookie Luke Jackson, an improving Wagner, a hard working Diop, and a very solid point guard in McGinnis, to go along with their 3 all-stars, 'Bron, Boozer and Z.

By the way, it has been reported that Boozer's agent, Rob Pelinka, has resigned as his agent. Boozer has been offered a 1yr. 5 million dollar deal which will allow him to sign a much bigger contract than what was offered by Utah or Cleveland.
