He was $5.72 short on the penalty fee, but I collected $40 of it.
That plus my owed wages. I'm victorious. Although, he is still in breach of the law. But I don't think it would hold up over $5.72.
He obviously mis-read my letter that had a table in it:

"Billy, all you had to do was return my call and I would have taken care of this." ----> Well, if that asshat had actually called me, I'm pretty sure I would have called his ass back. I live for phone calls when people call me and say "I'm sorry, I owe you money, let me pay you."
In any event, I cashed the checks while they were still good ... I have copies of everything ... and my special friend Brenda sent me a passage that I would love to burn into his yard:
Leviticus 19 ...
11 - Ye shall not steal; neither shall ye deal falsely, nor lie one to another.
13 - Thou shalt not oppress thy neighbor, nor rob him: the wages of a hired servant shall not abide with thee all night until the morning.
