Sweet!

Office Max had a no-name 8x burner on sale for $79.99 after $50 instant rebate & $50 MIR. Well...they didn't have any of them so they gave me a substitution drive of a Pacific Research (rebadged Lite-on) for $79.99 at the door. NO MIR. I also had a $15 in store coupon to use. $65 8x dual format DVD burner. Can't beat that!

Then went over to Best Buy and picked up a 50 pack of 4x Memorex DVD-R's for $100 -$50 instant rebate -$5 with 10% off coupon for a total of $45.

$110 for the day. Not bad. Not bad at all.

Ass.

;) I currently have a Philips DVD+ drive, but would like to have a dual format burner myself. Congrats.

Wow! Now there's a deal! I spent $130 on my 4x dual format Pioneer 106u drive, and another $100 on 100 Fujifilm DVD-R disks.

Yeah jumping on new tech is a bitch :( but hey at least you burnt sh!t loads of stuff before anyone else did!

Me I'll wait for stuff until it is cheaper or until I need it. DVDRW I just don't need yet.

Sweet score vi-edit!

52x DVD burners? Never gonna happen.
DVD burners with 52x CD speed? Why not get a 40x CD writer, not that much worse, a minute or two here or there is nothing.
