So....
I'm new to the whole "booty call" scene. Usually, when I meet a girl, one thing leads to another, <insert sexual act here> happens, and we eventually start dating. Anyways, this summer I ended a long relationship, and just want to enjoy the single life again. I recently met a girl, and we get along great, but the best thing is that neither of us want to "date". I originally got the impression from her when she mentioned that after she called me on Saturday night, her friends who were with her were all like, "That was soooooo a booty call!". Then we were talking and both agreed that's exactly what it is. :)

I was talking to a friend last night and he was telling me that he'd have trouble with sleeping with a girl and not worrying about or expecting any committment. Personally, I'm happy with the booty-call situation. I've young, and have always imagined that a purely sexual, non-committment relationship would be awesome, but now that I'm in one, I'm starting to doubt myself...

What do you all think? Ladies?

So, what's your dilemma? You said you want to enjoy the single life? What better to get some and no need to deal with any emotional attachment? If she don't have a problem with it, go for it.

I dunno man...seems to me you're good to go. :D but your friend is right... girls think one way and say another. i say you make it clear to her that you don't wanna be in a relationship... if she still wants to swing on your nutz :Q... then go for it. :)

I personally have huge problems with sex sans commitment/emotion.
Nothing wrong with it, of course, I just get attached way too easily so I always end up feeling guilty or something after hooking up with chicks at parties. But hey, it's still booty. :D

You guys don't find this even slightly, um, "morally challenged"?

I guess I'm old-fashioned or something.....

enjoy it while you have it. non-commital relationships are great; just don't see each other too often and you shouldn't have any problems. if you can get 4 or 5 of these going along at the same time, life is good. :D

I had a girl in college where our "booty call" was basically her calling me and saying "I'm bored, can I come over to watch a DVD?" The about 20 min into the movie...stuff would happen. :D Never did finish a DVD with her. :)

How is it a morally challenging? Both of them are consenting adults and agreed to it.

But as someone who was in your shoes khtm, it didn't turn out well. It started off as occasional sex, then it was almost daily. Then when you spend so much time with them, it just turned into a relationship. The sad thing was, is that we knew we weren't right for each other, and knew the relationship wasn't going to work (that's why we didn't want a relationship in the beginning)... 8 months later, we broke up and lost even the friendship.

Let's see, 2 consenting adults participating in private acts that are none of your business? I am not sure where you get off making a value judgement there...

Thanks for the comments, guys.

<< i say you make it clear to her that you don't wanna be in a relationship >>

We've already talked about it, so I think we're on the same wavelength. I'm just surprised to meet a girl that doesn't want a relationship. She's an odd one, though - she can drink half of my friends under the table and seems hornier than most guys ;)

Naa.. You're not old fashioned - my friend had the same point of view.

Sorry to hear about your booty call experience, Moralpanic - I sure hope mine doesn't end up like that. I've got one good thing going for me, though - I'm moving away at the end of December :D

I must be out of touch. The lingo has changed on me.

Back in the day, we didn't call it "booty call."

We called the other person a f**k buddy. As long as you to agree not to get bent out of shape if the other hooks up with someone else, then you two are good to go. I had one at UK (Univ of Kentucky) and we are still the best of friends. She's married now and neither of us regret anything.
So cheers and remember its supposed to be fun!

Every woman I've been with who claimed to just want to have sex without commitment was lying. She always wanted a relationship, and would get mad if I didn't feel the same way. Say one thing and mean another. Typical females.

I need a lover that won't drive me crazy
Some girl who'll thrill me, and then go away
I need a lover that won't drive me crazy
Some girl who knows the meaning of
Uh, hit the highway

Immortal words from John Cougar Mellencamp. What a tune. KHTM, you are my idol...<bows> I had something like this back in 1995. She was a few years older...and fine as fine could be. She actually showed me a few things I didn't know. Damn near killed me, but what a way to go! Sigh....but then I started catching feelings. She kicked my ass to the curb. :( Oh, the humanity!!!!!!!

Go for it, man! Good luck and have fun!

Well I see his point and I sorta agree.. I'm only 16, 17 in a month, and the other teenagers in my area all think it's just great to go out and get a piece no matter who it hurts or that its so cool just to go out and do that sorta thing. I guess I'm guilty of such things a slim amount of times but I do find it somewhat morally incorrect because I just always believed that sexual acts between two people are more than just animalistic.. Though I guess the way society is changing today those things have been so degraded to the point that hey, whip it out and don't give a darn about it is the norm. Personally, I see it differently..

Funny, we called these people "special friends" or "friends with benefits".

There is a part of me saying "Don't do it!" and aonther part saying "Way to go!". So, yeah, take your pick.

First off, if he wanted it to be "none of my business" he wouldn't have started a thread on a message board with 70,000 members.

What jsudgement di I make? Can you point out where I cam to a concolusion about someone? You can't? OK then.

I'm not jsuding anyone. If they want to do that, fine, it's really thier business. However, I think sex should be saved for loving relationships, and I'm questioning whether or not other people agree with me, even in a small way. I never made any judgement about anyone.

Also called a "Nookie Run" or "Friends with the Benefits" and it's the only way to fly. :)
