Hi,
When i turn on the system,The following message shows.
bootmgr is missing.
But when i put windows cd into cd-rom,the problem is solved.
What i do?

> enter BIOS
> change primary boot device to CDrom
> enter Recovery console from cd
> type command "fixboot"

if you have other/more issues heres some other cmds for reference

1> fixmbr
2> chkdsk /p
3> chkdsk /f /r

4> cd i386
4> winnt32 /unattend

Boot to your XP disk and the first screen select "To repair a windows installation using recovery console, press R" You will need to hit 1 and then enter. That should get you to C\Windows> Type in Fixboot.

EDIT * Haha, jolancer beat me.

Quick concise response... /raises beer glass 😎

If the problem recurs, it would be a good idea to download a bootable diagnostic ISO from the hard drive manufacturer and test the hard drive for faults.
