Bootmanager missing - how to fix?

I think someone hacked an older PC of mine - when I try to power it on, all I get is a black screen saying bootmanager is missing. How do I fix this so that I can move my files to my new PC?
 
Easiest way is to hook the drive up to the new machine as a slave, and get the files that way; no bootmanager needed. Otherwise, boot to a Windows CD, and run fixmbr
