Booting Up

Whenever my external FW drive is connected to my MBP my computer boots into my Boot Camp partition. But when I disconnect it, it boots regularly into OS X. What's going on?

is your BC partition on the FW drive? I am assuming that's the case .. under Preferences change your Startup Disk to your OSX Drive ... I suspect it's set to the FW and when it's plugged in gets 1st boot priority .. when it's not plugged in it falls back to the OSX Disk

Well, hook up the FireWire drive, hold ALT to bring up the boot menu, and then go into OS X. Once there, go into System Preferences to change the Startup Disk. I don't know why it has different settings for that... but you might be able to fix it that way.
