Mine hasn't arrived yet but what's the first thing you should do when you boot up your new PC? I'm pretty confident in installing the components but booting it up for the first time is my concern. This is obviously my very first gaming PC so what am I to expect when I first boot it up?

Start by installing the OS. I assume you want to use Windows 7, given that you have a gaming PC.
Install network drivers.
Install antivirus.
Install remaining drivers.
Run Windows update.
Make a System Restore point.
Install your apps.
Have fun :)

I've never heard of a pre-built PC not having an OS on arrival, so let's assume it has OEM software on it. Remove the crapware, install/update AV software, Windows Updates, profit.

Run something like Speccy to check that you have the hardware you paid for.
