Booting problems

I'm having a problem starting my computer. I just tried to turn it on and all that happens is fans run. I hear nothing booting up. No POST no nothing. The video card fan runs, the psu fan runs but nothing is happening, what do you guys think it is? If it was the processor wouldn't it tell me in POST?

try reseating the video card just for grins...and check the video cable for secure connection. at POST the CPU is checked before the Video card...a failed CPU may result in a checksum error message...

well I figured it out. It was my powersupply... :/ that was my first instinct so I went and grabbed an extra antec 400w that I had sitting at my parent's house and I was reseating things and nothing was happening. I was about to change the psu and I was like dammit, I don't have a 20 pin to 24 pin adapter (I forgot that I had a newer mobo than my last one) and that's when I saw it. The 4 pin power adapter was a bit charred and I wondered if that had anything to do with it so I gambled and plugged it back in. Sure enough it booted and went to the os, but i'm not going to take any chances. I'm gonna go out and buy a new psu, hopefully it won't set me back too much, but then again, I'm just thankful it's not the cpu or the mobo (or both *faints*). Thanks for your help dude!
