Booting problems

I'm having a problem booting my computer. When I plug in the cord to the power supply, my computer's fans start up. The fans spin faster and faster until they all shut off. When I actually push the power button, the same thing happens except the fans eventually slow down to their normal speed. Also, nothing appears on the monitor. I used the computer at home, eariler in the day and have since then transported it back to college. I'm wondering if something happened to it during the drive. I'm thinking theres a problem with the power supply put I really don't know. Any one have any ideas?

Try unplugging everything one by one untill it POSTS. When your down just to ur mobo/memory/cpu/psu, if u have spare memory, try working memory, then try power supply,

Good luck

only ddr now...you were this close>..............<

Try re-seating everything, and also make sure your CMOS jumper is in the correct position. I have seen something simlar when plugging a computer in with the jumper still in the clear position.
