I have a system wich WindowsXP and a NIC 3com 3C905CX-xxx, I have 2 more same config rigs, in a net, with a HUB and a xDSL moden wich is the DNS server off my net. I would like to boot one of my rigs with a DOS diskete and have grant acess off its folders to all the rigs in my net, I need this because there are some times where one of the rigs has no OS, but I steal need some files os this rig, so I need a way to put him in the net. Basically what I need is a way to get an IP from the DNS provider, and ( I don't know how, maybe an autoexec.bat ) a way to share the diks over my net, so the others computers could see it, all this in a dos disk.

I really doubt that you can boot from a dos disk and do file sharing. You might be able to boot from a live Linux CD which you setup to automatically mount and share out all the drives. Here's a list o links

We used to do something kinda like that where I used ot work. It involved creating a DOS boot disk with the DOS drivers for the NIC. I dont know all the little details, i cant remember right off. I wish I could! Anyways, i think we were accessing a Novell OS, DOS wont see a NTFS file system.
I'll see if I cant dig up how we did it, I'd kinda like to know myself......

Thanks, but I am pretty newby on Linux, maybe something link Ghost do in the peer-to-peer boot disk should work, just not loading the ghostpe and editing the autoexec.bat...
