Booting a NetBIOS user

I am on a LAN at my university and I have Win2K. I share my mp3s and other things on the network. I continuously monitor the connections to my computer to make sure that no hackers get into my system. I was wanting to know if I can boot an IP that is connected to my computer. I use netstat to see who is connected and I usually see a few unwanted visitors. I don't want to take the share away because some of my friends are usually connected. Can I boot a specific IP?

Password protect any of your shares if you have not already.

I have password protected some of them, but I have alot of friends that get onto my computer occastionally and I really don't feel like showing them how to put in a password. Most of them are pretty dumb when it comes to computers and they don't know anything. It is just easier for them to get in and get out. Any ideas on how to boot?

what is your system configuration like??

No offense man but you are asking for it doing things this way. Why don't you just run an ftp server to share files. It's a lot more secure and giving your friends one login and password, that they can store in the ftp client and never have to type again, should satisfy your ease of use policy.

Opening your system to the outside world like that is a bad bad bad idea.

OK, I have Win2K and I have file and printer sharing. I know that is would be easier to run a FTP server to all of my friends but then I would have to show them how to use a FTP client in which I really don't want to spend the time doing. I just wanted something nice and easy that I could run and all they would have to do is to just click on my computer and they would have access to my stuff. I am not worried about security that much because I have them pw protected now and I don't think that anyone on this little campus would know much about getting into my system. Also, we are behind a nice firewall and no one from the "outside" can get to my stuff anyway. Another thing is that I am curious about a lot of things and I just thought that it may be neat to see if I could instantaneously boot a connection off of my computer whenever I want to like a FTP server. Any more ideas guys?
