Booth babes

that was staged to advertise an after E3 party. but amusing anyway.

there ARE both babes, they just aren't running around in skimpy outfits.

"E for Everyone," eh?

What about the yogurt-slinging bulls-eye target right above her ass crack? 😉

there's no reason not to see a little flesh while you're checking out some new games. if it helps gets more guys to come by their booth and generate more hype for their game what's the problem?

like i posted on EA, E3 is a circus. if you haven't been you probably wouldn't understand, and even i haven't been in quite a few years (since it left atlanta). but it's a circus. it's not like it's 2000 tables setup with computers on them so you can check out the latest games like you're at a lan. it's flash and trying to catch the attention of the attendees. if you want to use a few good looking girls dressed up as your game's character or just dressed up (or undressed) what's the harm? it works, period.

its just the puritanical attitude that gets me. i mean seriously, sex/eye candy vs video games chock full of violence. they are pretending they have a purity they just dont' have.

the point is to put the emphasis on the games, and not the babes. I believe one of the reasonings is that they want to elevate gaming into a more professional/respectable medium rather than just being catered to adolescent teens.

By showing off videos of scantily dressed women displaying independent boobie physics?

Yeah, more professional- like major Hollywood studios that make big budget movies. Movies that contain more sex/eye candy than any E3 show.

Great reasoning. Are they forgetting that sex sells?

if you're going to e3 for the babes, you need to get out more.

As opposed to going for video games? Personally, I'd rather see both.

thats the whole point of going, to see the games. if takes babes to make you decide to go, you have not seen enough of the outside world.

sex does sell, but its a good idea to confine it into the media so that the media sells itself based on whatever merit it is trying to imply. Kind of like movies, some have the option of having sex, while the vast majority are more respectable. However, iat e3, it was getting to the point where every booth had babes even if the games they were displaying did not. this of course reflected badly on the gaming community as a whole. Take a work of art like FF7 or starcraft- you shouldn't have to garish it with sex to sell it.
