with win98, go to start..settings..control panel..add/remove programs

then click on startup disk tab, put in a floppy, and create one

if you're using win98, go start/programs/MS dos prompt, insert your floppy &amp; type format A:/s &amp; press enter! 🙂
you can also get a basic bootable floppy from bootdisk.com.
 
Download the bios, extract it to a floppy.
Make a boot disk with another floppy.
Boot from the floppy.
Switch the disks.
Type the updating command at the prompt.
