Bootdisk program to delete some files?

Hey. I'm having hard drive problems with my new, bigger drive. I want to get everything I can salvage onto my other, smaller drive. I need to delete a couple gig of stuff before I can do that to make it all fit when I copy over some partitions. (You can read about my problems to help me if you want here. A Shameless Plug) Is there a simple program that can do this for me? My XP CD won't boot, so I can't use that. I need a simple bootdisk of some sort that will let me access secondary drives/partitions. Will a standard do that? I can't find/see if it will right now...

What, software? Well, it isn't quite everyday software since it's bootdisk/etc., and it was spurred from a general hardware/hard drive problem. I combined them all and could only come up with a catch all. OT 😉. If a mod's that concerned that this is too OT for OT (or is it on topic for off topic), I'll only cry for a few hours if you delete it.

I tried two of the bootdisks there, but neither gave me access to my hard drives. I could only access the A: with them. Do you have any other suggestions? Thanks.
