You need a DOS CD-ROM driver, Google it or look on www.bootdisks.com or something similar to that.

No, MonkeyDriveExpress is correct -- on the "floppy part" of the CD you need to have DOS CD files (a .SYS and MSCDEX) plus lines in the AUTOEXEC and CONFIG files to load the DOS CD drivers.
The fact that a CD is bootable just means that it has the equivalent of a diskette added to it. The motherboard BIOS reads the diskette part to load DOS, but DOS itself can't read the non-diskette part without DOS CD drivers.
So follow MonkeyDriveExpress's advice, got to bootdisk.com and download a diskette image that includes CD drivers.

how did u make the bootable cd? using floppy emulation? if so, then your files are on the a:\ and your real floppy is now the b:\ drive. all u need to do, is boot from the cd and change to a:

first, i had that backwards...been a long daythe floppy emulation does swap your physcial floppy to b:, and then usees the a: to boot. your files should then be on whatever drive letter the boot floppy image assigned to it. where did you get the floppy boot image? did u make it yourself? in that case, as stated above you need to make sure there are cdrom drivers included in the boot image in order to access the files.
did you get an error when you accessed the files or were they just not there?

the a drive is the floppy emulation...you need to change drives to the drive letter assigned during bootup to the cdrom. your files should be there. where did u get the floppy boot image?
