Bootable Backup from Sata Raid to Single IDE

What I would like to do is back up my 2 WD raptor drives to a single IDE drive and make it bootable. I am having no luck at all.
I have the backup on the single IDE drive but the pc will not boot to this drive.
The m/b is a Asus A7n8x Deluxe with Windows installed on 2 WD raptor drives in a raid 0 configuration.
For the life of me I can not get this pc to boot to the back up drive.
If I unplug the 2 SATA drives and set CMOS to Boot to Disk 1 (the IDE drive) I get a non system disk error.
I have also tried to Boot with a Windows CD and "fix" windows on the IDE drive to no avail.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Use Acronis True Image to backup an image to your IDE hdd, create the Acronis boot cd, then, break the RAID, and disable in BIOS.
Boot up from the Acronis CD.
Follow instructions.

You can't boot from an Image. You need to Clone the drive. Might show as Copy, depending on the version of Acronis you're using.

As boomerang says - is correct -
However, if you look at my post, i do say to boot from the Acronis cd, not from the image.
