Is there a way to have a computer boot in full without any kind of video card or onboard video attached?

I have a server, WHS2011 that I want to take the video card out of for use in a different project. I only access the WHS via Remote Desktop anyway.

Mobo: 790FX-GD70

The lack of onboard video was an oversight when I built the server, but I had a spare gpu lying around so I didn't make a big deal of it at the time.

Going to solve the problem the easy way and just throw money at it. Picking up the cheapest video card I can find today.

I have my whs11 headless so yea it works without video. You can take that card out and save some $$. Once the server's configured, you can just remove the monitor and fire it up. You're already doing it, but yea you can connect via remote desktop and do what you need to do via that console.

Unfortunately its not a matter of having no monitor plugged in (it hasn't had one in years), it is a matter of having zero video support of any kind. POST doesn't like it.

No onboard video and no video card = no POST.

Ah I gotcha. I was thinking my server had no video but the g630 has an intel 2000 graphics on it.
