Boot up without stopping at POST

Just built my machine, for the first time, and whenever I boot up when it POSTs or w/e, i have to press F1 for it to continue. How can I make it so I don't need to? I checked in all the BIOS and I couldnt find a way to turn it off

is it resetting the bios everytime it turns off?
if so then the motherboard battery needs to be replaced/verified its ok.

It would help if you told us what motherboard.

For most motherboards there (at least those based on the Phoenix BIOS), there is an option for

Halt on
[*]All Errors
[*]No errors
[*]All, but Diskette
[*]All, but keyboard
[*]All, but Disk/Key

or something similar.

Depending on the make\model it's either under the general menu or the boot menu.

there is no problems with it, but whenever i boot up, it makes me press F1 to continue past the POST (I think it is the post screen....)
