My memory was only running at 200mhz and its 400mhz memory I went into the bios to change the frequency and now my computer wont boot up. It powers up but I get a please check signal message on my monitor. How can I boot back up to get back into the bios to change everything back to default? I tried removing the cmos battery and putting it back in to reset the bios even swaped vid cards to see if that was it.

Thanks in advance

Use the jumper on the motherboard to clear the cmos.

Depends on the motherboard, but there should be a CMOS clear jumper on your motherboard. (Always remember to pull the cord or switch off your power supply before using that jumper).

Alot of motherboards also have a nice feature for overclockers, if you hold down the INSERT key on your motherboard as your turn on your computer it will start up at minimal settings without deleting all the settings like Clear CMOS does.
