I need the help of you guys. I have an old computer (pentium 100) that is giving me boot up problems. The way I had it set up was for the hard drive as the master and the floppy as the slave. However, this gives me a floppy disk failed(40)message. If I disconnect the hard drive and connect the master to the floppy it "gets farther along" in the boot process but bails after listing the pci devices. Any ideas as to what might be going on? I have checked to make sure that the connections are solid. My only guess is that the ide cable went bad? Thanks for any help.
