Boot question with Win XP Pro

Is there any way through a keyboard shortcut or anything to stop my programs from loading in the system tray during boot up.

I only want to temporarily do this for 1 or 2 boots.

I still want the programs to load up like always but I would like to do a clean boot without these loading.

Is there a way to do this? I do not want to use msconfig to disable them.

Basically I would like to boot like it does in safe mode with nothing loading there....but obviously not be in safe mode.

Thanks!

For anything in the run key, hold the shift (err, been awhile, might be control) key down while the desktop starts. The entries will be skipped for that boot.

Well I dont want to use msconfig because I have quite a bit of apps that load, and do not want to remember what ones are checked and what ones arent.

And safe mode is no good because I want to use the computer when its not in safe mode.

But like I said I only want to do this temporarily a few times.

Can anyone confirm holding shift or ctrl while the desktop loads?

You can also do the F8 thing during boot and choose "safe mode".
