I have everything installed and when I first booted up my pc it gave me and error and then I checked all of my connections and noticed I didn't push one of my memory sticks in for some odd reason. I pushed it in and it boots right up to where it is going to go into windows xp when it flashes a blue screen (too fast to even read it) and the restarts. I am using my hard drive from other computer with an OS to see if it boots first. Could that possibly be the reason? Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks.

Here are my systems specs:

AMD64 3400+
Gigabyte GA-K8NSNXP
1 gig Corsair value select
eVGA video card
80 gig Western Digital
Pioneer DVR-108 dvd burner
Floppy

Check in administrative tools event viewer for the error, also open system properties clik on advanced tab then startup and recovery settings. uncheck automatically restart.

if I understand him correctly it isn't going into winxp, my guess is that nt based OSes don't like to be put onto other computers. don't quote me on that though

Yeah, you are right, after it gets checking to see if I have a raid and right when it would normally show the WinXP splash screen it restarts

If you have a hard drive from another computer that has Windows XP installed it will never boot on the new computer. The easiest way to do this, is to set the first boot to CD in the Bios, insert your Windows XP CD and boot. Then do the second Windows repair(hit enter on the first screen, the second screen will ask if your want to do a fresh install or hit R for repair of existing operating system) and it will remove your old drivers and install the new ones for your motherboard. This will leave all your programs and desktop intact.

Awesome, that worked like a charm:) Thanks you so much silky, I guess I thought that XP just can automatically detect new hardware and adjust.
