Boot Problem

I'm building a new PC based on an Abit KG7-RAID. Just resolved the problem with the RAM
not seating properly (Crucial DDR PC2100 512MB sticks), now that I've fixed that problem,
it won't boot any further.

No beeps and the monitor shows both "on" and "standby" when only one is supposed to be
lit.

Removing the RAM gives me the same continuous long beep error, so I didn't kill the MB. :)

Removing the video card gives me one long and two short beeps, so the video error works.

Now what should I look for?

I just had a similiar problem with an MSI. Power on and the fans would turn for just a little bit and then the system would stop, no beeps at all. My problem was resolved by clearing the CMOS.

Thanks- that was part of the problem. The BIOS wouldn't recognize the CPU, that
was the main problem. D/l updated BIOS and finally, it would recognize the processor.
