Folks:

I am trying to built new system with Intel MOBO D945PSN and Intel CPU Pantium D 2.8.
I have 2 Gb DDR2 and PCI-E graphics card. My Boot sequence gives me following error.
ANy suggestion?

Intel(R) Boot Agent GE V1.2.28

Intel Boot Agent PXE Base code (PXE-2.1 Build 084)

Initializing and establishing link

PXE-E61: Media Test Failure, Check Cable

PXE-MOF: Exiting Intel Boot Agent

No Bootable Device -- Insert Boot disc and Press any key

It's trying to boot off a network location (PXE) (probably because it didn't find a hard drive or cd to boot off of). You may need to change the boot priority so that PXE is the last thing it tries, but it shouldn't matter. Most likely you just need a bootable install cd so that you can install an OS onto the hard drive.

It's basically failing to find a bootable cd or hard drive so falling back to network. You may want to check the install cd/dvd you are using to make sure it's bootable, or that there is a bootable partition/installation on the hard drive.

Folks:

Thanks for all responses. I reconnected my optical drive and voila..my OS started instalation.
