I am getting a blue screen with an error that reads: "UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME". I can't get into Windows in any mode, and the weird thing is that I did not change any hardware, or anything in Windows before shutting down the last time. Is there any way of trying to fix this or is it re-install time for me?

try clearing your CMOS before you give up. also try booting from the windows cd, and running a chkdsk /r. are you getting a boot screen and then an error, or the bsod right after the post?

I'll go ahead and give those things a try today, and I get the boot screen first, where it lets me choose safe mode, etc... then I get that windows loading screen like normal, and right before windows should load, when it normally goes blank for a second, instead of it going blank I get the blue screen.

Could be that your hard drive is dying/dead. Windows cannot mount the boot drive for some reason. Let us know what chkdsk returns. There any other information on the blue screen?

You have just made my day:) I tried the chkdsk /r, and it found and repaired some errors. I am back into windows and all is well. Thanks so much.
