BOOT new A8N and VENICE core with early bios

Just to let those still wondering about the ASUS A8N and the new VENICE core chips. It was not a problem booting to an early bios. I was able to boot to my floppy drive and flash the board to 1008. Now I just have to get everything in the case.

Thanks for the good news Fiat. BTW could you post the original bios number and let us know where you purchased the MB. Hopefully the A8N SLI Deluxe will boot with Venice cores and early bios's.

I think that's what he just said, man.

All A8N SLI boards on the market so far, all are rev 1.02 hardware.

The shipping BIOS at launch was version 1001, but 1002 was released 8 days later, so the vast majority of boards are running 1002 or newer BIOS.

Are you refering to A8N-E or A8N-SLI?😕
